Benefits of the Stupa

WHAT IS STUPA? A Stupa is a religious monument in which relics; small, round pearls which can be white, red, or brown are enshrined.

Because every element of a Buddha’s physical body is pervaded with the pure energy of Enlightened Mind, the relics of a teacher and the Stupa are considered sacred.

WHAT DOES A STUPA SYMBOLIZE?

The Stupa symbolizes Buddhahood or the Enlightened Mind. The Stupa reminds us of the Enlightened Teacher and embodiment of the pure and pervasive aspect of awakened state.

PRACTICES TO DO AT STUPA

BENEFITS OF STUPA?
Merely viewing a Stupa can bring the sense of peace to one's mind. A Stupa naturally establishes peace and harmony while subduing negative forces in a community. It helps to promote harmony, longevity, prosperity, good health, peace, and freedom from ignorance for those who have made connection with the Stupa and for those who are making offerings of prayers and mantras or offerings of foods, flowers, light, and so on at the Stupa.
