ENTERING THE MIDDLE WAY Geshe Tenzin Sherap |
Geshe Tenzin Sherap resumed teaching the new Sunday class, "Candrakirti's Entering The Middle Way" on January 02, 2022. Candrakirt's 7th century classic was written as a supplement to Nagarjuna's Root of the Middle Way. This text integrates the central insight of Nagarjuna's thought - the rejection of any metaphysical notion of intrinsic existence- with the well-known Mahayana framework of the ten levels of the bodhisattva. This presentation of Entering the Middle Way began on August 22, 2021.

"Illuminating the Intent" is Lama Tsongkaphas's renowned commentary on Chandrakirti's Entering the Middle Way. Composed in 1418, Lama Tsongkapha set forth the meaning of emptiness in the context of bohisattva's ten perfections. Text: "Illumnating the Intent - An Exposition of Candrakirti's Entering the Middle Way". Translated by Thupten Jinpa. The text can be purchased from Amazon |

CENTER BEGINS NEW YEAR WITH ON-LINE CLASSES ONLY |
On March 20, 2020, the center closed to onsite classes due to the spread of the covid virus. Thinking initially it would be only for a few weeks or months, we began broadcasting on Zoom which allowed students to ask questions directly to Geshe Sherap. Now, almost 2 years later, we continue to broadcast classes online on Zoom and YouTube, with a few weeks of hybrid classes. Not long ago, the Delta variation peaked in August 2021 and now the Omicron variation has spread so quickly with 16,500 covid cases on December 29, 2021 and jumped to 27,091 covid cases on December 31, 2021 and 44,753 on January 1-2, 2022. We will continue with Zoom and YouTube Classes until the Pandemic has wanned. We look forward to the time we are able to again open the center for classes, but we are committed to keeping our dharma and local community safe from this spread. We appreciate your patience during the pandemic.

SATURDAY, JANUARY 01, 2022 HAPPY NEW YEAR'S DAY |
That which originates dependently Does not cease and does not arise, Does not come and does not go, Is not annihilated and is not permanent, Is not different and not the same. |
To the true teacher who reveals this peace,
The complete pacification of constructs,
To the perfect Buddha I bow down.
